After deburring all of the pieces, including the skins for the left flap, I primed all of the parts. Once dry, I set the nutplate into the rib. I didn't like the location so I drilled two new holes and rivted it in place on the FL-704 and then riveted the FL-706B in place.
The FL-706A was also riveted in place.
For some reason, after cleco everything back together for teh left flap, I started countersinking the bottom skin instead of the spar...I couldn't believe it once I did it.
I called Van's Aircraft and Scott indicated that I could build on as the skin was thick enough to accomodate the countersink, but the countersinks should be perfect.
I'm ordering a new bottom skin and will counter sink the spar.
I won't do the order until after I get back from vacation. Moving onto the right flap....
